We are seeking a sharp, commercially driven leader to join our Global Payments organization and lead monetization strategy for eBay's Wallet Business. The Wallet Business sits at the intersection of eCommerce and Financial Services, connecting the eBay and affiliate marketplace experiences with a growing suite of financial solutions for both buyers and sellers. This role is responsible for identifying the highest-value opportunities to accelerate revenue growth, expand margin, and strengthen the long-term performance of the Wallet portfolio.
You will work across Product, Analytics, Finance, Operations, and GTM teams to frame critical business questions, shape decision making, and turn insight into action. The right candidate brings strong commercial instinct, analytical rigor, and a strong understanding of eCommerce, Payments, and Financial Services, along with the ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization and drive complex initiatives from concept through execution.
This is a high-impact role for someone who is curious, thrives in ambiguity, moves with urgency, and takes full ownership for delivering business outcomes.
What you will accomplish:
- Define and implement the Wallet monetization strategy, identifying and advancing the highest-value opportunities to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and long-term business value.
- Assess market trends, customer needs, and business performance to identify monetization levers and prioritize opportunities across the Wallet Business.
- Translate complex, cross-functional opportunities and challenges into clear commercial problem statements, decision frameworks, and measurable business outcomes.
- Partner with Analytics, Finance, Product, Operations, and GTM teams to shape analyses, interpret findings, and turn insights into monetization actions and business decisions.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that grow the Wallet Business by optimizing product portfolio, fee structures, value propositions, and customer experiences.
- Drive end-to-end execution across multiple monetization initiatives, aligning partners, managing priorities, and removing blockers to deliver business impact.
- Communicate monetization performance, strategic recommendations, and key business implications to senior leadership and broader stakeholders through clear presentations and compelling narratives.
What you will bring:
- 8+ years of experience leading strategic growth and monetization initiatives for a complex business, with a demonstrated track record of driving revenue and/or GMV growth.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end customer journeys, payments, and marketplace economics, with the ability to identify high-impact growth and monetization levers.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, including experience defining success metrics, sizing opportunities, and translating performance and experimentation data into strategic recommendations.
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, build alignment across diverse partners, and influence senior leaders without direct authority.
- Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to distill ambiguity into clear recommendations, decisions, and action plans.
- Highly motivated self-starter who operates with urgency, thrives in ambiguity, and takes full ownership for driving outcomes.
