POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, Sales Excellence will be the project lead for the Vertiv's Sales Excellence initiative (VCORE). This role will be responsible for leading the broad-based and multi-year VCORE initiative which will encompass efforts to optimize the North Americas Selling Organization processes and tools to ensure its ability to deliver world-class customer experience and to achieve long-term growth and profitability expectations. This role will require the ability to define critical workstreams, lead diffused teams, and deliver complex solutions of both the near and long-term.

This role will specifically focus on the North Americas Selling Organization (GSA, Field Sales, and Channel Sales). It will be imperative that the individual is prepared to lead multiple workstream efforts as well as direct other owners of selected workstreams. Ultimate ownership of VCORE in North America will reside with this individual.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the Sales Excellence Initiative (VCORE) in North America
  • Define/Finalize the critical workstreams required to ensure the objectives of the Sales Excellence Initiative are achieved.
  • Influence leaders and peers without direct reporting relationships.
  • Provide Executive Steering Committee with regular updates and be able to effectively respond to feedback.
  • Escalate and create urgency around any issues that would impede the success of the project. Ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner and communicated to the stakeholders.
  • Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path.
  • Drive the team to implement short term and long-term improvements to improve sales efficiency.
  • Establish KPIs, milestones, and other important progress metrics for Sales Excellence and ensure those are updated and followed through to completion.
  • Collaborate with leaders and associates across multiple functions and with internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors' Degree; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a selling organization
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively, including conducting effective meetings and presentations.
  • Must be able to work in a matrixed environment.
  • Knowledge of existing Vertiv's North Americas Selling Organization is preferred.
