JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Operations Transformation provides senior-level leadership and direction for a University Hospital Operational Transformation Team. The Senior Manager oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of high-impact strategic initiatives designed to optimize institutional resources and improve operational performance. This role requires a sophisticated approach to managing complex, cross-functional projects while ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term business objectives.

JOB DUTIES
  • Strategic Oversight
    • Executive Alignment: Directs and manages the alignment of short and long-term goals for the COO and University Hospital Executive Leadership to ensure all initiatives support the broader institutional mission.
    • Central Point of Contact: Serves as the primary liaison for University Hospital strategic programs, facilitating communication between executive offices and operational departments.
    • Crisis & Problem Resolution: Acts as the lead for rapid problem resolution, identifying risks to strategic goals and implementing corrective actions under minimal supervision.
  • Functional Leadership
    • Portfolio Stewardship: Oversees a consolidated team responsible for a diverse portfolio of strategic programs, ensuring that individual projects do not operate in silos but contribute to overall organizational cohesion.
    • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Synchronizes efforts across various functional areas, such as analytics, resource planning, and operations, to create a unified approach to program delivery.
    • Culture of Excellence: Fosters a professional environment focused on accountability and creative solution-sharing among team members.
  • Operational Optimization
    • Process Transformation: Continuously evaluates business processes across the hospital to identify inefficiencies, searching for innovative ways to enhance productivity and service delivery.
    • Resource Maximization: Analyzes departmental performance to ensure the institution is making optimal use of its financial, physical, and human resources.
    • Post-Implementation Analysis: Leads efforts to measure and validate the success of process improvements, ensuring that changes result in sustainable operational gains.
  • Project Governance
    • Quality Assurance: Manages the quality and status of all assigned initiatives, ensuring deliverables meet the high standards of University Hospital leadership.
    • Data-Driven Performance: Establishes and tracks major project milestones using key operational metrics and performance indicators to provide objective status updates.
    • Pragmatic Implementation: Focuses on designing and deploying timely solutions that are grounded in data and scalable across the organization.
  • Policy & Compliance
    • Regulatory Integrity: Ensures all strategic activities and operational plans remain in strict compliance with applicable state and federal laws, as well as institutional policies.
    • Risk Mitigation: Regularly reviews and recommends updates to policies to reflect changing regulations or updated business objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
