Job Description:Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this positionIT Project ManagerRole OverviewThe IT Project Manager supports one or more technology projects and/or delivery teams, partnering with product, program, and engineering/technology leaders to embed modern iterative delivery practices and principles into day-to-day work. This includes planning, tracking, and managing project and team work
, including dependencies, risks, releases, and status updates. They are accountable for assessing project priorities and ensuring project delivery. They do so by modeling Fidelity leadership behaviors and adaptive ways of working, helping to evolve and sustain an innovative, collaborative culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning and Coordination- Ensure project scope, objectives, and roadmaps are aligned with product, business, and technology strategies.
- Manage multiple projects of low-to-medium size or complexity, or a single project with high visibility, complexity, and/or risk.
- Partner with product, program, and technology leaders to create plans, identify risks and dependencies, and develop release schedules.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure transparency through structured communication channels.
Execution and Delivery Management- Lead and manage events to support backlog prioritization, planning, and execution across multiple projects or complex initiatives.
- Track and report delivery health to stakeholders using leading and lagging indicators.
- Facilitate trade-off discussions using empirical delivery data to ensure successful delivery.
- Drive shared accountability for delivery against capacity, quality standards, and business value.
- Identify, manage, and communicate risks and dependencies.
- Coordinate internal and external communications and training plans to support project execution.
Continuous Improvement and Predictability- Implement and refine delivery processes using data insights and historical trends to improve predictability and efficiency.
- Optimize workflows and work sequencing for continuous delivery and reduced context switching.
- Find opportunities for lifecycle-based strategy updates and process improvements.
Technology and Quality Oversight- Enforce engineering excellence by managing quality standards, technical debt, incidents, and change processes.
- Ensure effective, integrated release management, including readiness across teams and clear communication.
Team Leadership and Culture- Motivate and guide teams by fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Support team formation, training, and continuous improvement through feedback and learning opportunities.
Required Skills and QualificationsExperience and Education- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of experience in project or delivery management roles.
- Experience supporting technology delivery teams in a large enterprise environment.

- Delivery Management - Expertise in managing schedules, resources, and budgets for complex projects.

- Data-Driven Process Improvement - Ability to use metrics and trends to optimize delivery predictability and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication & Influence - Providing transparency and aligning diverse stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring & KPI Management - Tracking delivery health and reporting progress against milestones.
- Change Leadership & Adaptability - Driving adoption of modern delivery practices and fostering innovation.
- Iterative Delivery Frameworks - Deep understanding of frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, and Six Sigma.
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Knowledge - Deep understanding of the phases of software delivery, from requirements through deployment, and the broader implications of challenges across the lifecycle.
Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
