Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Position Summary: The Sr. Manager, FP&A owns and coordinates financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes across multiple functions or business units, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. They oversee the delivery of financial reporting and analysis, ensuring outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned to executive and stakeholder needs, while translating complex financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendations for executive leadership. The Sr. Manager, FP&A leads evaluation of financial performance, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities across supported areas, and reviews and challenges financial models, assumptions, and forecasts to ensure rigor and consistency. Partnering with senior and executive leadership, the Sr. Manager, FP&A influences decision-making, resource allocation, and strategic planning while overseeing major financial workstreams to ensure coordination across teams and alignment with enterprise priorities. They drive performance tracking through KPI frameworks, ensure accountability for financial outcomes, and provide strategic financial leadership to support organizational growth and business performance. The Sr Manager, FP&A demonstrates advanced expertise in financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and performance management, along with a deep understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and key business drivers across functions. They have a proven ability to synthesize complex data into strategic insights and executive-level recommendations that support business performance, resource allocation, and long-term objectives. Success in the role requires experience partnering with senior and executive leadership to influence decisions, as well as strong leadership and communication skills with experience presenting to executive audiences. The Sr. Manager, FP&A has the ability to effectively lead multiple priorities and complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment while driving accountability and organizational results. Additionally, the Senior Manager, FP&A demonstrates the ability to partner with the systems team to ensure reporting, allocations, and business unit profitability accurately reflect business performance and support informed decision-making. The Sr. Manager, FP&A will work in a team environment collaborating with the Finance and Accounting team, various team members across the organization, Finance, the C-suite and other key leadership team members, senior leadership inside and outside the Finance organization, and the Executive team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial reporting, dashboards, and analyses across supported functions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Ensure consistent and robust variance analysis, highlighting key drivers and areas of concern for leadership.
  • Guide development and alignment of financial models and forecasting methodologies across teams.
  • Provide forward-looking insights through scenario analysis, long-range planning, and performance evaluation.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and insights that support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Identify and prioritize strategic process improvements across financial planning, reporting, and data management.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and quality of financial processes.
  • Drive adoption of best practices, tools, and systems across the FP&A organization.
  • Drive strategic cross-functional collaboration and cultivate executive partnerships to ensure execution of high-impact projects.
  • Provide strategic coaching and mentorship that fosters open, two-way communication, cultivates professional growth, and builds a high-performing best-in-class team.
  • Drive team development by identifying skill gaps and coordinate targeted training initiatives that enhance employee capabilities and foster growth that align with evolving business needs.
  • Proactively engage with employees to understand their needs and remove barriers to success by ensuring timely access to the tools, resources, and support that is needed to achieve high performance.
  • Lead performance management efforts by delivering clear, timely, and actionable feedback that drives accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the team recruitment process, from interviewing and selecting top-tier candidates to developing and executing strategic onboarding plans that ensure seamless integration, early engagement, and long-term success within the business.
  • Participate in 5S Workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities, including requests for maintenance when needed for both personal space and multi-use department spaces.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
  • Oversee complex financial analyses and scenario planning to anticipate risks, resolve high-impact issues, and deliver insights that guide executive decision-making and drive business performance.
  • Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, or Accounting, Master's degree preferred, and 8-10 years of related experience required, with 3-5 years in leading a team. Experience in high volume manufacturing environment preferred. Experience presenting to senior and executive leadership is required.
  • Skilled in leading teams in analyzing and summarizing complex issues and presenting the findings to the executive team.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, partnering effectively with teams inside and outside of Finance, to support enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams and expert-level proficiency in Excel. Mastery of financial systems such as Oracle and Hyperion and other related BI and modeling platforms.
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form. Skilled at presenting information into compelling, actionable messages that drive alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrated capacity to operate with a high degree of autonomy, effectively managing complex priorities and competing deadlines while ensuring strategic alignment and delivering high-quality outcomes. Results-driven and committed to doing what is necessary to fulfill responsibilities and meet deadlines.


Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
