Job Summary:The Senior Manager of Consumer Finance will lead the development, forecasting, tracking, and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive PayPal's Consumer business strategy. This role owns the financial planning and reporting processes for critical metrics including Monthly Active Accounts (MAA), Transactions Per Active (TPA), Average Revenue Per Active (ARPA), and Gross New Actives (GNA) for Consumer overall as well as for specific products.
This role will partner closely with Product, Commercial, Marketing, Analytics, and other Finance teams. The Senior Manager will serve as a strategic finance partner to Consumer leadership, working across multiple time zones in a fast-paced, matrixed environment to deliver high-quality insights that inform executive decision-making.
Job Description:Essential Responsibilities: - Business partnering with leaders and VPs and the other cross-functional teams located globally
- Build and retain a strong and effective team
- Oversee month-end close and reporting activities, forecast, variance analysis and reporting of operating expense (as well as Contra)
- Drive continuous process improvements both within the team and with the business
- Provide analysis and recommendations to leadership groups quickly and effectively to drive results
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate policies and GAAP regulations
- Partner with leadership on risk awareness for projects
- Develop key insights to provide finance senior leadership visibility into areas of risk
- Work within finance and technology partners to identify areas of opportunity for improvement
- Prepare and present results and forecasts to senior leaders
- Track and re-trend results against forecasts and budgets
Minimum Qualifications:- 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:- Expert proficiency in Excel (advanced modeling, pivot tables, Power Query), SQL, and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition, unit economics, statistical forecasting, and financial statement analysis
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen with ability to connect metrics to strategy and influence senior leadership
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting complex financial analyses to senior level executives
- Proven success managing competing priorities and building partnerships in matrixed organizations
- Experience with enterprise planning systems (Essbase, SAP) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) a plus

Primary Location | Pay Range:San Jose, California: ($143,500.00 - $212,850.00 Annually)
Additional Location(s) | Pay Range:Chicago, Illinois: ($130,500.00 - $193,600.00 Annually)
Austin, Texas: ($130,500.00 - $193,600.00 Annually)
Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
