The Chief Data Office (CDO) Group at OpenText manages the organization's Finance Systems, with a primary focus on SAP S/4HANA - Simple Finance as the core ERP platform. This team delivers end-to-end financial solutions through a combination of system configuration, process enhancements and custom software development, ensuring compliance with SAP best practices. Their responsibilities include maintaining integrated financial processes, implementing governance and quality standards, and driving innovation in financial operations that support OpenText's global business needs.

Your Impact

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Business Systems will lead a cross-functional SAP team delivering scalable solutions across Finance, Procurement, and Travel & Expense. The ideal leader has hands-on SAP experience, a track record managing developers and functional leads, and a continuous-improvement mindset-driving automation, reliability, and business value.

What the role offers

As a Senior Manager, Enterprise Business Systems, you will:

  • Oversee design, build, test, and deployment for enhancements and projects across SAP ERP On-Prem, SAP Ariba and SAP Concur
  • Define operating rhythms (stand-ups, sprint reviews, release planning) and enable high-quality and on time delivery through DevOps/CI-CD processes
  • Ensure stable operations (incident/problem/change), meeting or exceeding SLAs
  • Identify and deliver automation opportunities (e.g., RPA, workflow, bots, API-led integration, job scheduling), reducing manual touchpoints and cycle time
  • Champion standardization, templating, and reuse; implement monitoring/observability, test automation, and quality gates
  • Serve as primary IT point of contact for Finance, Procurement, and Travel stakeholders; translate business outcomes into product roadmaps and backlogs
  • Facilitate intake and prioritization; deliver value iteratively with transparent metrics
  • Lead resource planning, ensuring the team has optimal mix of in-house talent and partners
  • Manage and mentor a team of SAP developers and functional leads; set goals, coach on best practices, and foster a culture of accountability and learning
  • Collaborate and coordinate with cross domain leaders to deliver enhancements and projects
  • Partner with enterprise architects to enforce solution architecture standards and data governance practices
  • Contribute to cloud migration planning (e.g., RISE with SAP, hyperscaler hosting), data archiving strategies, and technical debt reduction
  • Maintain documentation, change controls, and audit trails; enforce secure coding, data privacy, and access controls (GRC/SOD) to ensure that audit/compliance requirements are met or exceeded
  • Manage vendor relationships and SOWs; track license utilization and optimize run costs


What you need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience; ITIL certification a plus
  • 8-12+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years leading SAP teams (developers + functional leads)
  • Solid understanding of SAP ERP On-Prem-finance, procurement, order to cash, AP/AR, and master data flows; familiarity with ABAP, IDocs, BAPIs, OData/APIs, and integration middleware (PI/PO)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with SAP Ariba and SAP Concur
  • Experience leading automation initiatives (RPA/workflow/jobs/APIs) with tangible productivity or quality gains
  • Strong stakeholder management, budgeting, vendor/SI oversight, and executive communication skills
  • People leadership & coaching experience
  • Strategic/architectural thinker and experience with process optimization, automation and outcome-driven delivery
  • Asset: exposure to SAP Cloud (RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, Cloud ALM) and/or SAP cloud migration programs.
