Full Job Description
Purpose of Role

The Sr. Manager, Distribution Operations will oversee the activities to achieve strategic goals, quality, cost, and service within Under Armour's distribution network. This individual will be responsible for leading the execution of the overall day to day operations and building goals. The Sr. Lead is responsible for effectively communicating cross-functionally to maintain the most productive and efficient workflow for the distribution function. This involves driving all financial metrics while ensuring both sites maintain set service levels for all business channels.

Your Impact

  • Responsible for day-to-day operational functions associated for one warehouse, servicing the full business.
  • Lead, inspire and build a team.
  • Identifies internal processes and procedures within distribution to utilize Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques to reach the strategic objectives of the operation as well as to accommodate and create increased demand/capacity.
  • Implement strategies designed by Sr. leadership to ensure the 3PL is flexible and can respond to variations in the workflow.
  • Ensure that the department performance goals are set and achieved, through the proper execution
  • Being able to execute the role at very high level, attention to detail, good communication skills, find ways to further improve the process and eliminate risks.
  • Knowledge in the operation of one 3PL distribution site & ability to execute the goals for distribution.
  • Work with UA Supply Chain teams, carriers, 3PL warehouse providers, UA customers and transport carriers.
  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing daily work assignments; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional departments while balancing area workflow. Ensures all teammates & 3PL are maintaining an acceptable level of production. Administer observations on teammates & 3PL to drive performance improvement, training, and coaching.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or typically 14 years of relevant experience without degree.
  • Typically 3 - 5 years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise.
  • Highly skilled with database/spreadsheet programs, and specifically MS Office programs (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Experience with MRP software package is required. ( WMI, SAP, FMS)
  • Must have experience in supply chain and be a subject matter expert in managing a site 3PL
  • Critical attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization


Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Sparrows Point, MD facility.
  • Work Schedule: Monday- Thursday, 5:00pm- 3:30am

Base Compensation

$125,000.00-$165,000.00 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
