Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead a team of NPI Supply Chain Program Managers within the New Product Commercialization (NPC) organization. The role is tied to the CoE Business Section while organizationally embedded in NPC, bridging CoE development, Global Supply Chain, suppliers, and Applied business units. Besides talent management, the successful candidate is expected to own and successfully manage product sourcing strategies, drive supplier portfolio decisions, ensure cost performance, and deliver timely integration of CoE technology innovations into NPI programs. The Senior Manager is also expected to remain actively hands-on in program management activities, leading select high-impact programs personally in addition to overseeing the broader portfolio. This leader is accountable for talent development, executive-level governance, and end-to-end results across multiple programs in a highly complex, fast-paced, corporate-level environment. Mission CoE NPI Supply Chain is the strategic enterprise integration layer connecting Centers of Excellence operations (CoE), Business Units, and Global Supply Chain. The mission is to accelerate new product commercialization through cross-functional synergies, standardized supply-chain strategy and execution, improved cost and gross margin performance, and the timely proliferation of technology innovations into NPI programs. The Senior Manager owns delivery of the four NPI key deliverables across the team: 37Product Sourcing Strategy7 - agile, scalable, resilient product ramp through GSC ecosystems. 37Product Cost Performance7 - product viability and gross margin performance. 37Corporate Synergies7 - leverage across CoE teams, BUs, and Global Supply Chain. 37Effective Implementation7 - deploy technology innovations and cost optimization into new products. Scope spans Supply Chain Strategy & Resiliency, Lab Qual/Cut-in Management, CM Selection & HVM Readiness, Cost Apportionment Model (CAM), Best BoM Assessment, and Cost Reduction Roadmap & Execution across MCOS. Required Skills 1. People Leadership & Talent Development 37Builds, leads, and develops a high-performing team of NPI Supply Chain Program Managers across multiple commodities and programs. 37Sets clear objectives, manages performance, coaches for impact, and develops succession depth. 37Drives team operating cadence, prioritization, and cross-team collaboration with engineering, BUs, and GSC. 37Champions a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement. 2. NPI Supply Chain & Commodity Management 37Owns commodity strategy and supplier portfolio decisions: market intelligence, supplier landscape, and multi-year sourcing roadmaps. 37Leads supplier selection and qualification at the executive level: RFx, technical/commercial evaluation, and CM selection for HVM readiness. 37Negotiates and approves complex commercial agreements: pricing, MSAs/SOWs, T&Cs, and TCO optimization. 37Governs CAM, should-costing, Best BoM scenarios, and cost reduction roadmap execution across programs. 37Ensures supply chain resiliency through dual sourcing, risk mitigation, and lab qual / cut-in management. 3. Program & Portfolio Management 37Stays actively hands-on in program management: personally leads selected high-impact NPI sourcing programs in addition to portfolio oversight. 37Oversees the broader portfolio of NPI sourcing programs: scope, schedule, dependencies, milestones, and risk posture. 37Drives execution rigor: operating cadence, action tracking, and concise executive readouts. 37Manages RAID logs, mitigation plans, escalation frameworks, and decision logs at both program and portfolio level. 37Aligns vendor and partner governance across internal and external teams. 4. Supply Chain & Semiconductor Domain 37NPI to HVM ramp leadership: supply readiness, capacity planning, and ramp governance. 37Semiconductor supply chain depth: lead-times, allocation, shortage management, lifecycle/obsolescence. 37Supplier management at scale: qualification, scorecards, QBRs, and corrective action follow-up. 37Manufacturing and logistics fundamentals (MRP concepts, inventory health, material flow). 5. Strategic Initiative Leadership & Executive Communication 37Translates strategy into executable workstreams, KPIs, and measurable outcomes for the team. 37Drives Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) activities across the team - identifies, prioritizes, and delivers structural cost, cycle-time, and process improvements. 37Leads executive governance: steering committees, decision forums, and structured status narratives. 37Builds cross-functional alignment across engineering, sourcing, operations, finance, quality, and legal. 37Influences without authority and presents complex topics simply to senior and executive stakeholders. 6. Accountability & Execution Mindset 37Thrives in and leads through a highly complex, energetic, corporate-level environment with strong independent judgment. 37Drives high ownership culture: identifies gaps, proposes solutions, and ensures closure. 37Bias for action with quality and compliance; deploys structured problem solving (5 Whys, Fishbone) at scale. 37Continuous improvement: Lean/Kaizen mindset; standard work and process optimization. Preferred Commodity Experience Specialization and prior sourcing/program leadership experience in the following areas is strongly preferred: 37RF Power7 - RF generators, matching networks, power delivery systems, and supplier landscape for semiconductor capital equipment. 37Box Assemblies7 - complex electromechanical box-build assemblies, integration testing, configuration management, and HVM ramp readiness. 37Outsourcing to Contract Manufacturers7 - CM/EMS strategy, make-vs-buy analysis, transfer execution, dual sourcing, and operational governance of outsourced manufacturing partners. Competency Expectations 37Manages professional employees and supervisors; may manage multiple teams of professionals. 37Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function while also personally leading select programs. 37Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. 37Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and the business plan; receives guidance from senior manager. 37Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and customers; resolves complex business issues affecting the team and broader function. Qualifications 37Education: 7 BA/BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; MS/MBA strongly preferred. 37Experience: 7 Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in NPI Supply Chain, Program Management, and/or Sourcing, with at least 3-5 years in a direct people-management role; semiconductor industry strongly preferred. 37Preferred: 7 Demonstrated commodity leadership in RF power, box assemblies, and/or outsourcing to contract manufacturers, including CM selection, transfer execution, and HVM ramp readiness. 37Proven ability to lead teams independently while remaining actively hands-on in program execution in a highly complex, fast-paced, energetic, corporate-level environment. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
