What is the opportunity?

RBC Cards is Canada's leading credit card business and a significant driver of RBC's financial performance. In this role, you will support the strategy, execution, and delivery of our Business Credit Card portfolio, leveraging data and strategic insights to drive sustainable growth.

In this role, you will be accountable for identifying and enabling solutions to strategic opportunities that accelerate new client acquisition and expand market share for the Business Credit Cards portfolio. Sitting at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and sales enablement, you'll collaborate with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Legal, Product, Risk, and Technology to design and execute high-impact acquisition campaigns and initiatives. Specifically, you'll drive growth by developing targeted strategies to attract and convert high-value prospects, optimize onboarding experiences, and support RBC's long-term vision for its Cards business.

What will you do?
  • Responsible for the management of client acquisition strategies by partnering with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mass and targeted campaigns that drive growth and deliver value to new-to-bank and new-to-card clients
  • Leverage analytics to identify opportunities to accelerate client acquisition with RBC and our product, diagnose performance gaps, and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Responsible for development of executive level presentations and business cases to support strategic recommendations
  • Support Leadership team in developing and implementing comprehensive business strategies to facilitate growth, focusing on long-term goals and profitability for overall Business credit cards product portfolio
  • Monitor, forecast, and report on acquisition performance and profitability
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to test, learn, and optimize acquisition strategies
  • Develop and maintain expertise and understanding of the competitive landscape to drive innovative thinking and differentiation by researching best practices and benchmarking against competitors
  • Responsible for the client and prospect acquisition experience across all channels. Work with partners across channels, technology and transformation programs to ensure a delightful account open experience for our client's and prospect's
  • Responsible for the maintenance of acquisition policies including responding to inquiries and ensuring policies adhere to regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for providing subject matter expertise related to acquisition performance and collaborating with peers on the production of monthly and quarterly business reports


What do you need to succeed?

Must have:
  • Familiarity or experience with credit cards
  • Experience with credit card acquisition and channel optimization
  • An innovative thinker who is proactive, is well organized with attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and a passion for solving ambiguous and complex business issues through a structured approach
  • The ability to dive deeply, from both a quantitative and qualitative standpoint, and translate findings into clear, insightful messages and recommendations for senior executive audiences
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including advanced experience in creating PowerPoint presentations for C-level executives and leaders
  • Strong excel and analytic skills for reporting
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt to changing priorities driven by fast moving competitive landscape
  • A proven collaborator, with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly, and lead cross-functional teams
  • Undergraduate degree required, with 3-5 years experience in banking and product management


Nice to have:
  • Deep knowledge/experience in credit cards and client acquisition programs
  • Experience in sales, sales support, or product management in the Small and Mid-market client segments
  • Exposure to test-and-learn frameworks or Agile delivery methodologies
  • Knowledge of client lifecycle management and marketing analytics
  • Project Management experience
  • Marketing experience
