Overview/Summary: Our Client is a global professional services firm that provides engineering, design, construction, and consulting solutions across infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, energy, water, and government sectors.

The Sr. Layout Designer will lead the design and development of architectural layouts for complex industrial and high-tech facilities, with a focus on semiconductor environments. This role is responsible for creating and reviewing 3D models and construction drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, and providing technical leadership throughout all phases of design. The Sr. Layout Designer also mentors junior designers, supports project planning and estimating, and helps deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate facility layouts, 3D models, and construction drawings for industrial and semiconductor projects.
  • Lead discipline design efforts, providing technical direction and mentoring to junior designers.
  • Create, review, and coordinate models using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and related design software.
  • Perform model reviews, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure design quality.
  • Evaluate technical solutions, present recommendations, and resolve design challenges with project teams and clients.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Support project planning by estimating design effort, assigning tasks, and monitoring scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Identify potential scope changes and communicate impacts to project leadership.

Primary Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies, Computer Drafting & Design, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience designing industrial facilities, preferably within semiconductor or other high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and related modeling and drafting software.
  • Strong understanding of facility layout design, applicable codes and standards, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Proven ability to lead design efforts, solve complex technical problems, and mentor junior staff.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering projects across multiple clients and project types.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with advanced 3D modeling and clash detection workflows.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment requirements and installation processes.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards applicable to high-tech manufacturing environments.
