Job Overview

The Sr Information Technology Asset Management Hardware Coordinator serves as a technical resource and coordinator for large service requests and projects. This role involves overseeing the tracking and management of hardware assets, implementing asset management policies, and providing technical solutions to project teams and customers. Responsibilities include aiding, analysis, and recommending standardized technical solutions to project teams, program managers, and customers. The Senior Specialist is accountable for ensuring that clear, concise requirements have been captured from the customer, coordinating delivery and deployment, and communicating projected requirements to the delivery teams and leadership. Effective communication with various departments, vendors, and leadership is essential to ensure accurate asset tracking, timely delivery, and deployment of hardware, while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the deployment of end-user hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices).
  • Assist in the management of the project planning, solution design, and implementation of hardware.
  • Develop solutions by collecting, consolidating, evaluating, and refining service requests with customers, translating them into technical requirements, and providing recommendations.
  • Track and manage hardware assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Create and provide detailed reports to supervisors and other team members detailing the status of projects and the location of organizational assets.
  • Coordinate with departments, vendors, and contractors for timely hardware delivery.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Schedule resources to align project work and ensure timely execution.
  • Execute service requests and project tasks, providing status updates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform work at multiple sites and transport equipment as needed.
  • Facilitate and coordinate purchases and assist with project execution resources.
  • Provide quotes and budget estimates to appropriate managers.
  • Manage effective relationships and work in partnership with customers, leadership, team members, vendors, and contractors to deliver robust technical solutions.
  • Support Technology Asset Management Hardware Specialists on project assessment, estimation, resource requirements, and solution requirements.
  • Analyze and provide input to the continual improvement of processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Champion IT delivery processes and strategies.
  • Actively manage a queue of assigned service requests and project tasks.


Required Qualifications
  • A.A./A.S. in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • Possesses 1-2 years of experience in IT and asset management. Able to handle routine tasks and assist in asset tracking and maintenance. Beginning to work more independently and contribute to small projects
  • Displays a strong track record of successfully supporting large-scale projects. Capable of coordinating multiple tasks and ensuring project milestones are met. Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration with team members to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results.
  • Proficient in designing, configuring, implementing, and operating endpoint solutions, including desktops, laptops, tablets, phones, networks, printers, and scanners. Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and competency in managing these devices effectively.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make informed decisions to provide appropriate technology solutions for customer requests. Shows growing proficiency in evaluating options and selecting suitable technologies.
  • Ability to provide work direction and trains team members in deployment and technology migration tasks.
  • Shows initial ability to assist and support team members with basic tasks.
  • Demonstrates willingness to share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Shows excellent customer service focus, is highly organized, and team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to relate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Exhibits a solid understanding of IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow. Capable of utilizing these tools to streamline IT processes, manage incidents, and track service requests.
  • Reliable personal transportation to perform work at multiple sites during a scheduled shift
  • Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, evenings/weekends, depending on project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
  • 4 years of experience in an IT role, particularly with deployment and technology migration.
  • Experience providing training and work direction
  • Comp TIA A+
  • Hardware Asset management Specialist (HAMS) Certification
  • Most current version of ITIL Foundations certification
