ZF North America Inc. has job openings (multiple) for the position of Sr. IT Analyst - Network Routing Expert based out of its location in Northville, MI.
Job Duties: Evaluate, propose, architect, and implement solutions in the area of globally interconnected Data Center Networks in addition to providing day-to-day technical expert guidance regarding existing solutions and critical escalations. Assist Network Platform management with project planning and development of a rollout/implementation strategy for the global High Performance Network. Serve as a technical escalation point for third-level support for services provided by the global Network team including the final escalation point within ZF for the regional Data Center LAN and routing through the global High Performance Network Backbone. Analyze the global routing infrastructure for optimal project rollout/implementation. Communicate technical concepts, information, and service-related topics to all levels of the organization. Adhere to global IT standards and coordinate related activities with global IT teams. Develop working relationships with internal and external business partners. Adhere to and ensure compliance with ZF standard processes, procedures, and systems. Participate in continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing, and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies. A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available. Up to 10% travel to domestic and international locations to attend team meetings and perform critical networks installations.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field plus 5 years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer, Network Architect, Principal Network Engineer, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained and demonstrated experience with: Static and dynamic IP routing, L2/L3 routing, TCP/IPArchitecting and designing large scale networks; Architectural design standards of EVPN VXLANOverlay and BGP/IP-Fabric Underlay networks; Routing protocols, including subnetting and supernetting; Configuration and administration of TCP/IP Protocol, using technical expertise and troubleshooting; Analyzing Paket Capture of Source to Destination communication; Packet drops, jitters, port flapping, network loops, and latency issues; BGP/MPLS and GBP/VxLAN large scale networks, including setup and configuration; L2VPN and L3VPN BGP tenants; EVPN in favor of MPLS-protocol family, including VxLAN; Benefits and differences of underlay and overlay protocols, including implementation at a global scale; EVPN for both Layer 2 and Layer 3 services; BGP in EVPN and L3VPN; MPLS and its integration with EVPN and L3VPN; L2VPN and L3VPN in the context of BGP and MPLS; EVPN and its advantages over traditional L2VPN; VXLAN and its use with EVPN for scalable Layer 2 and Layer 3 services; Setting up BGP peering between routers, including configuring AS numbers, neighbor IP addresses, remote AS numbers, and ensuring interface reachability; and Routing tables decision making based on longest prefix match, administrative distance, and routing protocol preference.
