Senior Infrastructure EngineerWe are seeking a
Senior Infrastructure Engineer who can bridge traditional enterprise infrastructure with modern software development and AI-driven automation.
This is a unique hybrid role requiring someone who is equally comfortable working within
cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments and
building applications, integrations, and automation solutions.
The ideal candidate is technically hands-on, collaborative, curious, and willing to jump into complex problems across infrastructure, systems, development, and emerging AI technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure & Cloud Engineering
- Administer and support Windows, Windows Server, and macOS environments.
- Manage Microsoft Azure and Entra ID environments.
- Support identity, authentication, permissions, and Group Policy.
- Manage endpoint environments using technologies such as Microsoft Intune or similar platforms.
- Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Troubleshoot and maintain VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Support complex infrastructure issues and escalations.
- Assist with infrastructure assessments, remediation, and optimization initiatives.
- Develop PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to improve IT operations.
Application Development
- Design and build internal web applications and automation tools.
- Develop modern front-end applications using technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS frameworks.
- Build and deploy applications using Azure App Services.
- Manage application data and storage using Azure Blob Storage.
- Implement secure application authentication using OAuth and Entra ID.
- Develop backend functionality and integrations as needed.
- Full-stack development experience is highly preferred.
AI & Intelligent Automation
- Build and support AI-enabled applications and automation solutions.
- Integrate LLM APIs and AI capabilities into internal applications.
- Develop AI-powered functionality such as intelligent search, summarization, conversational interfaces, and workflow automation.
- Build and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
- Develop custom REST APIs and API connectors to integrate systems, applications, data sources, and AI tools.
- Support the development of AI agents and automated workflows.
- Apply appropriate security, logging, governance, and human oversight to AI-driven solutions.
Systems Integration & Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive infrastructure and support processes.
- Build integrations between internal and third-party platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues.
- Develop tools that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Partner with technical teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and automation.
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
- 3+ years of experience building and deploying web applications.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, or comparable modern front-end technologies.
- Experience deploying applications through Azure App Services.
- Experience with Azure Blob Storage or similar cloud storage technologies.
- Strong understanding of OAuth and Entra ID authentication.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Experience with Windows Server and enterprise endpoint environments.
- Experience developing scripts and automation, particularly PowerShell.
- Experience developing APIs, system integrations, or custom connectors.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
AI & Integration ExperienceCandidates should have experience with, exposure to, or the technical ability to quickly develop expertise in:
- AI/LLM application development
- Integrating LLM APIs into applications
- AI agents and intelligent automation
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- MCP servers
- REST APIs and custom API connectors
- Connecting AI tools with enterprise systems and data sources
Hands-on production AI experience is highly valued; however, candidates with strong application development and integration backgrounds who can demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and build within emerging AI technologies may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications- Full-stack application development experience.
- Experience with AWS in addition to Azure.
- Experience working within complex or regulated enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting security and compliance initiatives.
- Experience automating traditional infrastructure or IT support functions using AI.
- Experience working across infrastructure, application development, cloud, and security teams.
Ideal CandidateThis role is best suited for someone who does
not fit exclusively into a traditional Systems Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Software Engineer profile.
We are looking for a technically versatile engineer who brings strong
enterprise infrastructure experience but can also
write code, build applications, develop integrations, and work with AI technologies.
The right person will be collaborative, team-oriented, technically curious, comfortable being challenged, and willing to jump into whatever technical problem needs to be solved.
