Oversee procurement, commissioning, maintenance, and operations of Fleet vehicles for multiple locations
Direct and dispatch fleet activities, including planning and scheduling driver routes
Establish service standards, operational controls and preventative maintenance/repair activities to maximize fleet reliability and efficiency
Lead regulatory, safety, and compliance activities for fleet operations
Adjust driver schedules and routes based on capacity to optimize runs
Utilize creativity and quick thinking to make decisions on last minute scheduling
Serve as first-line of communication for all transportation related issues
Work independently to resolve issues and communicate accordingly when additional input is needed
Provide exceptional, timely customer service to internal and external customers with respect to planning, scheduling, troubleshooting and unexpected issues
Remain current on DOT requirements, and other regulations as needed
Supervise/direct/coach/train assigned personnel; provide feedback as required
Address personnel matters using established policies and procedures
Responsible for ensuring drivers are properly trained on Company safety policies and procedures
