Full Job Description
The Senior Engineer, Infrastructure & Platform Services provides subject matter expertise across identity and directory services (e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID), collaboration and communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams), endpoint management and security (e.g., Tanium, Jamf), certificate and key management (e.g., Venafi), application packaging, automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell), monitoring, and infrastructure operations. This role designs and architects solutions, drives technical standards, and sets own objectives with minimal direction. This role evaluates technology alternatives and ensures alignment with PDS Health's standards, security requirements, and business goals.

The Senior Engineer, Infrastructure & Platform Services is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining the foundational technology infrastructure and endpoint platforms that support PDS Health's clinical and business operations. This role leads complex technical initiatives, defines architecture patterns, and is accountable for the reliability, scalability, and security of production environments through proactive planning and incident leadership.

The Senior Engineer, Infrastructure & Platform Services mentors L1/L2/L3 engineers and NOC staff, leads cross-functional collaboration, and interfaces with business leaders to translate requirements into technical solutions. This role ensures compliance with security hardening standards, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Design engineering, implementation, and operation of technical systems with focus on reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Lead system reliability, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Mentor others in automation of operational tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.
  • Drive incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues.
  • Design monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Lead implementation and maintenance of security best practices.
  • Mentor others in cost management and optimization of resource utilization.
  • Drive collaboration with development, operations, and security teams.
  • Evaluate and improve documentation of infrastructure, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate and improve infrastructure-as-code development and deployment.
  • Design participation in on-call rotations for incident escalation and resolution.
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent. In lieu of degree, +5 years of professional experience is required.
  • At least 5 - 8+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure and networks or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure and networks principles, tools, and industry standards.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Tanium, Jamf, or equivalent.
  • Ability to participate in on-call duties (24/7) and after-hours tasks.

Preferred
  • Working knowledge of identity and directory services, collaboration and communication platforms, endpoint management, application packaging, automation, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, Tanium, Venafi, Jamf, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining operational documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with security hardening standards, compliance frameworks, or audit evidence processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, cross-platform issues in a hybrid environment.
  • Experience leading technical design or architecture decisions for enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience in the healthcare (medical or dental industry), retail, or other large enterprise organizations.
  • Industry-recognized certifications in infrastructure, endpoint management, or cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL).

  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as required for scheduled and non-scheduled operational needs
