Sr Networking Systems Engineer This role has been designated as 'Remote/Teleworker', which means you will primarily work from home. Senior Networking Systems Engineer Job Description As a Senior Networking Systems Engineer, you will provide pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective customers while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will leverage your expertise in networking infrastructure technologies to articulate the value and capabilities of HPE Networking solutions and differentiate them from competitive offerings. In this role, you will partner closely with Territory Managers to qualify opportunities, develop customer-specific solutions, and drive engagements through the sales cycle to successful closure. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with consultative selling skills and a deep understanding of campus and distributed branch networking environments. Although this is a remote position, candidates must reside within their assigned territory and be available for regular onsite customer engagements. Travel Requirements • Travel to customer sites a minimum of three (3) days per week. • Territory includes customers located throughout the state of Maryland. Key Responsibilities • Manage account and partner relationships for designated accounts within an assigned territory. • Identify, qualify, and support sales opportunities in partnership with Territory Managers. • Recommend and position the optimal combination of hardware, software, and services to address customer business and technical requirements. • Participate in the development of proposals, bids, presentations, and solution strategies. • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to customers, partners, and prospects. • Collaborate with channel partners to generate demand and drive business growth. • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships while identifying additional opportunities for HPE solutions. • Manage sales pipeline activities and support forecasting against territory objectives. • Maintain knowledge of competitive technologies, solutions, and market trends. • Provide consultative technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders. • Support sales teams through product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution recommendations. • Develop detailed technical specifications and implementation designs for complex customer environments. • Design and build proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate feasibility and business value. • Conduct product capability assessments, validation activities, and customer consultations. Required Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of infrastructure engineering experience. • Experience providing technical pre-sales support and customer engagement activities. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Excellent presentation, organization, prioritization, and interpersonal skills. • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to solve complex technical challenges. • Ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Preferred Qualifications • Extensive experience with Aruba Networking and/or Juniper Mist solutions. • Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies. • Experience with networking security solutions. • Network Access Control (NAC) experience, including one or more of the following: • Aruba ClearPass • Cisco ISE • Cloud NAC • Juniper Access Assurance • Wireless network design, deployment, and troubleshooting expertise. • Experience conducting pre-deployment and post-deployment wireless site surveys. • Working knowledge of: • CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator) • CWDP (Certified Wireless Design Professional) • CWSP (Certified Wireless Security Professional) What We Look For The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, consultative selling skills, and business acumen.
