Job Description

The Sr. Network Developer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying network hardware platforms, with a focus on engagement with switch, router, and optical manufacturers. This position requires a deep understanding of hardware specifications and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external customers to define design requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the development of network hardware platforms that meet the needs of our customers and align with our business goals.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy network hardware platforms, including switches, routers, and optical systems
  • Engage with switch, router, and optical manufacturers to define hardware specifications and ensure compliance with our design requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product management, and sales, to define design requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Work with external customers to understand their needs and define design requirements that meet their expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, external customers, and manufacturers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in network hardware platform engineering.
  • Participate in the development of roadmaps and technical plans for network hardware platforms.
  • Ensure that all network hardware platforms are designed and developed with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on network hardware platform engineering.
  • Strong understanding of hardware specifications and design requirements.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on network hardware platform engineering.
  • Experience with cloud-based network architectures and virtualization technologies, software defined networking
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements for network hardware platforms.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.


Qualifications

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $91,400 to $187,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
