Job Description:

Title: Sr. Director, Enterprise Applications

Location: Remote - USA, Canada

Reports to: Chief Information Officer

Vacancy: Existing Vacancy

The Role

JD Power is seeking a senior technology leader to serve as Senior Director of Enterprise Applications, responsible for leading the team that supports the transformation of the company's enterprise business applications. At the top of that portfolio is Salesforce - the backbone of how JD Power sells, quotes, bills, and serves customers - alongside NetSuite, Coupa, and the broader suite of SaaS platforms that run Finance, Sales, HR, and Operations.

JD Power is a Thoma Bravo portfolio company that has grown from $300 million to approximately $900 million in revenue through ten strategic acquisitions since 2019. That growth has produced a complex, fast-evolving enterprise systems landscape, and this role exists to bring order, momentum, and scale to it. You will own the strategy and - just as importantly - the execution, driving the delivery, integration, and modernization of the platforms that run the business.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who has scaled enterprise application platforms - Salesforce first and foremost - in high-growth environments. You will set the multi-year platform strategy, build and lead a team of architects, developers, administrators, and analysts, and partner directly with executive stakeholders across Finance, Sales, RevOps, HR, and Operations. You will be accountable for the portfolio's technical excellence, delivery rigor, and measurable business outcomes - and for building the team and operating model to sustain both as JD Power continues to grow.

The Impact You Will Have in This Role

As Senior Director of Enterprise Applications, you will be the driving force behind how JD Power's business runs on its core systems. By owning the roadmap for Salesforce, NetSuite, Coupa, and connected platforms - and the cross-functional processes they support, from quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay to record-to-report and hire-to-retire - you will make the systems, workflows, and data that run the business more reliable, connected, and built to scale. You will lead JD Power's quote-to-cash transformation and build a modern enterprise applications function that business partners trust and rely on every day.

What You'll Be Doing in This Role

Platform Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the Enterprise Applications Roadmap: Define and evolve the multi-year strategy and roadmap for JD Power's enterprise application portfolio - Salesforce (Sales Cloud, CPQ/Billing, Service and Experience Cloud), NetSuite, Coupa, and connected business systems - grounded in real business needs and delivery insight.

  • Lead the Quote-to-Cash Transformation: Modernize the end-to-end flow from opportunity to quote to order to revenue, driving measurable improvement in velocity and accuracy.

  • Own Core Business Processes: Own and improve cross-functional processes - quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and hire-to-retire - with clear performance outcomes.

Delivery & Execution

  • Lead Day-to-Day Execution: Lead delivery of business system initiatives - implementations, enhancements, and integrations - leading through the work rather than from a distance.

  • Act as Product Owner: Serve as product owner for core enterprise platforms, making real-time prioritization and trade-off decisions with stakeholders.

  • Drive Integration & Data Quality: Drive integration execution for clean, consistent data flow across systems of record, and ensure the data accuracy and reporting leaders trust to run the business.

  • Automate & Simplify: Identify and implement automation and workflow improvements - including AI-enabled tools where they add clear value - that increase speed and reduce manual work.

Architecture, Governance & Operations

  • Establish Standards & Governance: Establish and enforce architectural standards, governance, security posture, and DevOps maturity across the application footprint.

  • Operate with Rigor: Define the metrics and dashboards that track platform health, delivery performance, and business outcomes, and bring discipline to roadmaps, OKRs, release governance, and incident management.

Team & Talent Leadership

  • Build and Lead the Team: Build, grow, and lead a team of managers and individual contributors - architects, developers, administrators, and business analysts - including hiring, coaching, performance management, and org design.

  • Develop Talent: Develop application talent, define role clarity and career paths, and grow the bench of technical and delivery leaders.

Partnership & Vendor Management

  • Partner with the Business: Partner directly with executive stakeholders across Finance, Sales, RevOps, HR, and Operations to translate business priorities into a roadmap that drives measurable outcomes.

  • Manage Vendors & Spend: Manage the platform budget, vendor relationships, SI partnerships, and license strategy - including RFP/RFI processes, contract negotiation, and total cost of ownership.

  • Own Key Vendor Relationships: Own the relationship with Salesforce and other strategic vendors (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa) - influencing product roadmaps, navigating contract cycles, and managing escalations.

Qualifications of this Role

  • 12+ years in enterprise technology, enterprise applications, or business systems, with 5+ years leading application platform teams at the Director level or above.

  • Demonstrated experience scaling Salesforce orgs in high-growth environments - with CPQ and Billing in production.

  • Track record of leading quote-to-cash transformations end to end - opportunity through revenue recognition.

  • Hands-on experience across enterprise SaaS platforms beyond Salesforce - e.g., NetSuite (ERP/financials), Coupa (procurement and spend), and HR/HCM systems (e.g., Workday).

  • Proven track record of leading implementations, integrations, and system improvements - not just overseeing them.

  • Strong expertise in integrations, APIs, event-driven patterns, and data flows across cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS).

  • Exposure to AI-enabled tools that improve internal business processes, with sound judgment on where governance and human review matter (preferred).

  • Track record of building and managing teams of architects, developers, administrators, and analysts, including managing managers.

  • Experience owning multi-million-dollar platform budgets, vendor negotiations, and SI partner relationships, with discipline around cost/benefit analysis and RFP/RFI processes.

  • Experience defining application strategy in multi-entity or post-acquisition environments where consolidation and consistency are required.

  • Experience operating in private equity-backed or high-growth environments balancing growth with operational efficiency.

  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven success partnering with C-suite and SVP-level Finance and GTM stakeholders.

  • Experience in data-intensive or analytics-driven businesses, particularly automotive, financial services, or information services sectors (preferred).

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

The Hiring Manager says:

"I'm looking for a hands-on leader who can bring order and momentum to the systems our business runs on every day. Salesforce is at the center of that - how we sell, quote, bill, and serve - but this role reaches across NetSuite, Coupa, and the rest of our enterprise stack. You'll own the strategy and the execution: leading our quote-to-cash transformation and building a modern enterprise applications function that our business partners trust. If you lead through the work, love turning ambiguous business needs into systems that scale, and want to shape how a growing, data-driven company operates, this is your role."

This position has a starting salary range of $200,000 - $230,000 CAD / $210,000 - $240,000 USD per year. This is the range we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee's pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
