Duties: Lead exploitation of new product features that make a significant impact towards improving the availability or performance of application databases; collaborate with customers to identify data needs including access, protection, quality and maintenance requirements. Recommend database design alternatives, considering benefits and limitations to users based on in-depth understanding of their data needs. Lead the process of creating and maintaining physical data models. Provide expertise to users and application developers regarding database platform and design. Implement complex databases with respect to database tuning, data backup, recovery and security processes/procedures. Lead new database administration processes/best practices that achieve operational excellence. Participate in design reviews, responsible for physical structure of organizational data warehouse. 100% telecommuting position.
