Position Summary:- Reports to Lead Clinical Lab Scientist or Supervisor.
- Performs a variety of both routine and complex clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Prepares and determines suitability of solutions, reagents and stains, following defined formulas and procedures.
- Maintains and troubleshoots equipment by making routine repairs or notifying appropriate contacts when more complex problems occur.
- May support both clinical and research aspects of the laboratory.
- Performs related general duties such as ordering supplies, lab housekeeping, and maintaining safety records.
- Requires a professional level of knowledge to properly execute and analyze results, especially where results are abnormal or atypical.
- Specific duties may vary according to rotation assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Education:- Bachelor's degree in biology, genetics, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, or related field.
Work Experience:- Must have 2 years of related laboratory experience. Experience must include clinical laboratory rotation and knowledge of clinical laboratory tests and equipment acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent education & training that meets minimum science coursework (biology, chemistry, genetics, microbiology, hematology or related - making one eligible to sit for certification).
Certification:- ASCP certification for Cytogenetics, CG(ASCP)
**Authorization to Work in the United States: Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position.Salary Range: Minimum 37.02/hour - Maximum 61.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
