What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology Team, leading complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. As a Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis within Global Derivatives and Strategic Risks Technology , you’ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You’ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience. How You'll Succeed
  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Understanding of Derivative products valuations – Strong knowledge of financial derivatives valuation and what risk factors are attributed. Familiar with modeling of different product types including Equities, Commodities, Interest Rates, FX, Bonds, etc
Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience withhaving spent at least 4 years in a BSA role leading projects, designing solutions and can understand how to value derivative products and work on risk models. Ideally, you have experience working with Derivative instruments as well as an understanding of various Asset classes (Equities, FX, Interest Rates, Fixed Income, Commodities) and working with data feeds from Bloomberg.You also have experience working with SQL to pull data and develop reports. Its an asset if you havepreviously workedon derivative trading and reporting applications, supporting a Front Office or Capital Market client group and you have hands on experience with Python. Partner with Sales, Trading, Quants, Control groups, and Technology teams across the trade and risk management lifecycle. Provide technical and analytical leadership to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. Lead cross-functional projects, managing requirements, resources, delivery timelines, and risks. Provide strategic direction on XTRADER-related initiatives and business expansion opportunities. Strong knowledge of Capital Markets products. Oversee onboarding of new rates instruments to support growth and revenue and foster a productive and rewarding team culture.
  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, and/or a related field.
