Full Job Description
This role will be based in San Francisco, Mountain View, or Sunnyvale. At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Employee Communications team as a Senior Manager 2, focused on enterprise-wide internal communications that support recurring programs, new initiatives, and key workforce priorities. In this role, you'll provide strategic communications counsel to the Global Talent Organization (GTO), building strategic frameworks and narratives that translate workforce strategy into clear and compelling communications that engage, inspire, and align employees. You'll also own the enterprise People Leader Communications strategy and partner closely with the Office of the Chief People Officer on strategic internal GTO communications. This role will also lead and support other priority communications work, including organizational change and issues management, bringing opportunities to scale impact to teams across LinkedIn. Responsibilities Communications Strategy and Execution 3 Acts as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders across GTO and the enterprise, advising on the right channel, timing, and content of communications to employees. 3 Leverages understanding of business needs and insights to recommend, develop, and socialize employee communications strategy and planning. 3 Implements tactics and collects and reviews results to ensure accuracy and quality across messages and channels. 3 Develops and shapes strategic frameworks and narratives, translating workforce strategy into clear and compelling communications that engage, inspire, and align our employees. 3 Leads the enterprise People Leader Communications strategy, including developing and implementing plans to drive awareness, engagement, and action. 3 Supports strategic internal communications to GTO employees, working closely with the Office of the Chief People Officer. 3 Leads and supports other priority communications work, including organizational change and issues management, bringing opportunities to scale impact to teams across LinkedIn Stakeholder Engagement 3 Owns stakeholder relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency. 3 Incorporates best practices for decision-making criteria and principles at outset to drive priorities and expectations, while defining and clarifying scope. 3 Recognizes opportunities, makes decisions, challenges the status quo, and identifies alternatives that recognize stakeholders' diverse perspectives Writing and Storytelling 3 Develops new stories/narratives and drafts content independently, while connecting and reinforcing strategic messaging. 3 Creatively uses different communication formats such as live events, videos, and emails to inform and inspire employees. Recommends what channels are most appropriate for the target audience and drive execution from start to finish. 3 Delivers high-quality, creative communications that help drive business outcomes. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 3 Minimum 9+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 3+ years of experience in Employee Communications 3 OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field AND minimum 6+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 3+ years of experience in Employee Communications. Preferred Qualifications 3 6+ years of experience supporting senior executives. 3 6+ years of experience in employee communications roles. 3 2+ years of HR communications experience. 3 3+ years working in a communications or marketing-focused role. 3 Exceptional judgment and problem-solving skills, including the ability to operate with a high degree of discretion. 3 Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple communication initiatives simultaneously, operate with ambiguity, and inspire collaboration at all levels of the organization. The pay range for this role is $148,000 to $233,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
