Job Description:

As the Lead for the Gum & Mints portfolio, you'll operate as the General Manager of our strategically important, growing business - shaping the long-term strategy, identifying new sources of consumer demand, building breakthrough commercial plans and making investment choices for the future.

You will partner across Marketing, Category, Sales, Supply Chain and the global teams to unlock new opportunities for the Gum and Mint brands. We need a change leader and influencer as this role will set the agenda, be a strong associate champion and ensure strength of execution to deliver both short-term and long-term results.

What are we looking for?

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience within CPG, food, or adjacent consumer industries, with increasing responsibility for brand, category or business leadership.
  • Proven success leading category strategy, innovation and portfolio growth.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a P&L and making commercial investment decisions.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams and direct reports.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across the organization.


What would be your key responsibilities?

  • A business leader and influencer, this person will build a strategic vision to drive growth in full portfolio programming. They will set the agenda and ensure strength of execution to deliver both short-term and long-term results end-to-end.
  • Lead and unlock the next phase of our Canada-owned gum brand, Excel.
  • Lead, deliver and design our annual operating plans for Gum & Mints, anchored in solid consumer insights and deep understanding of drivers of the category and brands.
  • Lead & manage all Marketing partnerships and programming for Gum & Mints. Ensure strong brand integration, national brand programs, while supporting the delivery of our long-term (IVCP) strategy.
  • Lead the Total Connections Planning (i.e. Media & Communications plans) working with or Integrated Agency partners to deliver effective programming.
  • Develop and mentor direct reports and be a marketing functional culture builder.
  • Manage total Gum & Mints budgets identifying risks and opportunities as they arise.
  • Connect and collaborate with the US and Global teams to ensure shared best practices, resources and expertise on programing, tools, and strategy.
