Job Summary

Summary
The Sr. Application Analyst has primary responsibility for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of Epic MyChart applications in the Digital Engagement Solutions team. They are responsible for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of application functionality, and acquiring knowledge of the operational workflows to be implemented on the system. Jointly with each other and with the department representatives, they design a future-state workflow and build the system to support the new workflow. They work with each other in workgroups, and across interdisciplinary workgroups, to accomplish these goals as a team.

What you do?
  • Obtains and maintains Epic certification in assigned application module. Provides Epic product function, design, and build expertise and experience needed for successful product implementation.
  • Provides on-site support as needed during Go-live/Downtime events.
  • Serves as the primary resource dedicated to application design, validation, and build within assigned area. Assesses current state, designs and implements future-state workflows by interacting with department representatives to analyze business/operational needs, and translates these into proper system configuration.
  • Provides demonstration of system functionality creates and submits regular status reports to immediate Lead Analyst/Project Manager/IT Leadership as assigned. Coordinates/facilitates organizational meetings and attends weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, changes, communications, and updates.
  • Develops, supports, and maintain documentation and procedures as needed and provides training to other IT staff and user clients as appropriate.
  • Works flexible hours, carries pager/provides on-call coverage including after hours and weekends to support the needs of the organization if need be.


Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Strong experience in Epic Hospital Billing build/configuration/workflows.
  • With Bachelor's: 4 or more years job related experience in information technology or healthcare. With Associate's or two years college level course work: 6 or more years.
