Job Summary:

The scope of this role includes leading cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement a variety of projects and processes, including large scale process redesigns and technology implementations within the HR function. Working independently and leading through influence, this individual will combine their business acumen and strategic thinking to execute complex projects with enterprise-wide impact.

To be successful in this role, you will need to build collaborative relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders to drive outcomes, make actionable recommendations, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role routinely requires you to navigate ambiguity and complex issues to develop well thought out recommendations that move projects forward. Additionally, you will need the ability to flex between various tasks and levels of detail, from scheduling and facilitating meetings to providing status updates to senior leaders.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and communications skills and will quickly establish themselves as a trusted strategic partner with senior leadership. This individual will contribute to a culture of executional excellence through outstanding critical thinking, purpose-focused leadership, and detailed execution.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $73,841.00 - $105,487.00 + Annual Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

Drive: Achieve executional excellence through efficient and effective project management practices
  • Analyze and understand business strategy and high priority goals.
  • Direct large-scale, complex projects with numerous internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan. Proposes recommendations and adjustments to plans as required.
  • Engage with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate agreement on objectives and success measures, manage issue tracking and resolution, and ensure project objectives are met.

Connect: Inspire trust and build productive relationships with key stakeholders and program delivery teams.
  • Engage broadly and deeply within and outside the HR function to quickly connect information and facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders, steering committees, etc. on program initiatives to facilitate decisions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and use that knowledge to drive effective prioritization and roadmaps for delivery.

Leadership:
  • Ability to drive the execution of program strategy and vision

Project Management:
  • Provide thought leadership in the design and resourcing of large, complex projects with enterprise-wide impacts.
  • Ability to manage initiatives from concept through to completion, including the development of requirements and assessing resource needs to inform budgets and timelines.
  • Ability to socialize and manage multiple program work streams in support of strategic objectives, creating project / program plans and providing oversight during execution.
  • Effectively manage impacts to business stakeholders and technical components of the program or project.

Financials:
  • Manage enterprise-wide programs with complex financial models including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors, including RFPs, invoice payment, and tracking.

Resource Management:
  • Ability to oversee projects with many internal and contract resources across multiple work streams.
  • Partner closely with HR leadership and IT partners to ensure continuous prioritization and effective resource management.


The expected Total Compensation for this role is $73,841.00 - $105,487.00 + Annual Bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a 'Hybrid' work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
