Full Job Description
Senior Analyst, Sports & Entertainment

What this job involves:

Join JLL's Sports & Entertainment Development Advisory practice as a Senior Analyst, where you'll be the analytical engine behind some of the most consequential venue and mixed-use development decisions in professional sports. Our team advises teams, leagues, owners, and public authorities across MLB, NFL, NHL, WNBA, MiLB, and collegiate athletics - from billion-dollar mixed-use districts anchored by a ballpark, to arena site selection, to the public-financing and feasibility cases that get projects approved and built. In this role you'll own financial models, site analyses, and client-ready materials end-to-end, working directly with the Managing Director and engagement leads on deliverables that go in front of ownership- and league-level decision-makers. Operating in a lean, senior, high-visibility team, you'll carry multiple concurrent engagements with limited oversight, help shape the analytical approach on new pursuits, and serve as a resource to junior team members. This is an exceptional platform to deepen your expertise across the full development lifecycle - underwriting, site selection, economic impact, public finance, and deal execution - while advancing within JLL's global platform and contributing to projects that reshape skylines and communities.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Own development pro formas, feasibility models, and cash-flow analyses end-to-end for stadiums, arenas, and surrounding mixed-use development
  • Lead valuations and broker opinions of value using income/cap-rate, comparable-sale, and comparable-lease approaches, incorporating stacking plans and market data
  • Construct economic- and fiscal-impact models - direct, indirect, and induced multipliers; tax-revenue and incentive analysis - to support public-financing and legislative cases
  • Direct site sourcing, screening, and analysis using CoStar, parcel records, and county assessor data, and build defensible site inventories
  • Produce site footprints, parcel-ownership research, and thematic maps in ArcGIS / ArcGIS Online, reconciling acreage, zoning, floodplain, traffic, and incentive-district overlays into a single dataset per site
  • Build and quality-control client-ready presentations - site shortlists, feasibility summaries, pitch and pursuit decks, and board materials
  • Draft, issue, and coordinate RFPs and RFQs (engineering, master planning, design) and manage responses through selection
  • Assemble and defend comparable-transaction and comparable-venue benchmarking sets and the underlying methodology
  • Synthesize public deal documents - leases, non-relocation agreements, development agreements, bond official statements - into usable facts and figures
  • Conduct market, demographic, and demand research and monitor stadium/arena deal terms, public-financing structures, and league developments
  • Support new-business pursuits and serve as a resource to junior analysts on modeling and GIS workflows

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, Business, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 2-4 years of experience in a financial analysis environment; commercial real estate, investment banking, private equity, or consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for financial modeling from scratch (pro formas, DCF/NPV/IRR, sensitivity analysis) and with PowerPoint for polished, client-ready deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to own workstreams end-to-end and manage multiple concurrent engagements against real deadlines with limited oversight
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, and written communication abilities, with the poise to present analysis to senior professionals and clients
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex market and financial data into clear recommendations
  • Genuine interest in sports, venues, and real estate development

Preferred Qualifications:
  • GIS experience with the Esri platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online)
  • Database and research-platform experience with CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, county parcel/assessor data, or similar industry tools
  • ARGUS Enterprise experience or certification for property cash-flow modeling
  • Familiarity with public finance, development incentives, or economic- and fiscal-impact methodology
  • Comfort with data tooling and automation (Python, SQL, APIs, or AI-assisted workflows)
  • Prior experience mentoring analysts or leading discrete client deliverables
  • Pursuit of relevant industry certifications (ARGUS, advanced Excel modeling, CCIM) encouraged
