Job Description:

In a fast moving and increasingly complex world, L3Harris is anticipating and rapidly responding to challenges with agile technology - creating a safer and more secure future. L3Harris is seeking a dynamic Software Engineer who is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining space command and control (C2) systems software. The Software Engineer will work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and assess software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design. The ideal candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and requires a Secret Security Clearance to start.

Essential Functions:

  • Participating in all phases of the software development life cycle, creating software test procedures, developing software programs, preparing related documentation, conducting peer reviews, identifying, tracking, and resolving software defects
  • Clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas
  • Collaborate effectively with small teams of software engineers
  • Develop software as a C# full stack engineer
  • Experience with EntityFramework, T-SQL, Angular, and TypeScript
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification in less than 60 days
  • Ability to obtain a US TS/SCI security clearance


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in software development with a focus on C# full stack development
  • Active US Secret security clearance

  • Demonstrated proficiency with the C# programming language
  • Knowledgeable in the full software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to deployment
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Meticulous organization of open software tasks
  • Thorough understanding of software engineering principles and industry best practices, including Agile development
  • Ability to work in a team environment to potentially include duties in other technical disciplines
  • Knowledge of asynchronous programming
  • Familiarity with source code repositories (e.g., GitLab)
  • Experience with agile development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Understanding of containerization and developing/deploying in containerized environments
  • Knowledge of Tanzu and Docker/Windows integration


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $84,500-$157,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
