In this vital role, you will help drive Amgen's digital and AI-enabled transformation by connecting business needs with practical technology solutions. You will apply business insight, technical judgment, and execution discipline to guide initiatives that improve how teams work, make decisions, and deliver value. This role will also evaluate opportunities thoughtfully, align the right stakeholders, and ensure solutions are effective, compliant, and built for meaningful impact.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Lead medium to large digital, automation, data, and AI-enabled initiatives across multiple departments or functional areas.
- Partner with business, Manufacturing and vendor stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, responsible AI adoption, and scalable technology solutions.
- Partner with business to identify, standardize, and operationalize data sources, metrics, and analytics solutions that support operational excellence, digital manufacturing, and data-driven decision making.
- Define project scope, requirements, success measures, delivery plans, timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage cross-functional project teams through solution design, development, testing, implementation, adoption, and post-implementation assessment.
- Oversee delivery of complex Technology, digital platforms, workflow automations, dashboards, and AI-enabled capabilities that improve productivity, quality, and user experience.
- Apply project management, technical, and business expertise to resolve issues, manage dependencies, and deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
- Communicate project status, risks, decisions, technical approaches, and business value to teams, leadership, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure delivered solutions comply with Amgen Technology standards, security, quality, legal, policy, and operational requirements.
- Design and develop intuitive, scalable dashboards and visualizations to monitor manufacturing performance, capacity, and KPIs (e.g., throughput, cycle time, yield)
- Strong expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, Databricks) and dashboard design principles
- Contribute to the development of practical guidance and guardrails related to AI platforms, tools, and use cases.
- Drive continuous improvement by measuring outcomes, gathering user feedback, and ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Provide technical guidance, mentor others, and contribute to best practices for digital, AI, automation, and technology-enabled project delivery.

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 2 years of information system experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of information system experience
OR
Associate's degree and 8 years of information system experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of information system experience
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or advanced education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Life Sciences, Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience supporting or delivering digital, automation, data, and AI-enabled solutions in a manufacturing, quality, process development, or regulated environment.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Databricks, or similar analytics and visualization platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data integration solutions (e.g., EDW, Databricks, SAP, MES, or equivalent platforms).
- Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, digital twins, real-time analytics)
- Experience in a GMP-regulated industry, including understanding compliance expectations, validation practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, manufacturing, quality, process development, vendor, and management stakeholders.
- Strong project management, organizational, technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and applying structured problem-solving methods such as Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone, 5 Whys, or Kepner-Tregoe.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
