Job Description:Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Specialist I-Document Control to manage configuration control processes and coordinate change management activities across cross-functional teams. This role is critical in ensuring product, system, and documentation integrity throughout the lifecycle by enforcing configuration management standards and facilitating effective change control governance.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain configuration management processes, tools, and repositories.
- Assist in the planning, implementation and execution of Engineering Changes that release new products and modify existing ones
- Review, analyze, approve and audit Change Orders (ECOs, CO, MCO, PECOs) and part data from start to finish for compliance, accuracy & audit trails. Ensure concerns are addressed within the Change Order process in a timely manner.
- Work with Engineering Project teams, Planners, Manf Engineering, Buyers, Logistics, Contract Management Team & Finance on scrap, rework compliance, routings, costing and updates needed in AX.
- Coordinate and facilitate Change Control Board (CCB) meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Review, track, and manage change requests (CRs), ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
- Ensure proper version control, baselining, and traceability of configurations, documentation, and system changes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for configuration and change management inquiries.
- Facilitate timely resolution of issues within changes
- Collaborate with engineering, product, quality, and operations teams to assess change impacts and dependencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to perform gap assessments and work with the IS applications team on tool enhancements
- Prepare and distribute CCB decisions, meeting minutes, metrics, and status reports.
- Audit configuration records and change processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (as applicable).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, documentation creation and updates related to configuration and change management practices.
Requirements/Qualifications:Required Qualifications- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in configuration management, change management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles and CCB processes.
- Experience with change management or configuration tools (e.g., PLM, ALM, CMDB, or similar systems).
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or software development).
- Familiarity with industry standards related to configuration and change management.
- Experience using MS Excel Power queries and report generation
- Experience supporting audits and compliance activities.
- Certification in configuration management or project management is a plus.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $48,000 - $128,000.*
*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
