Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and meaningful support for middle and high school students in Philadelphia, PA

Position Overview
  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to middle and high school students with diverse learning, behavioral, emotional, and functional needs in specialized classroom settings.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), assess student progress, and adjust instruction using evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, families, and school staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
  • Support students' academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and functional development while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with special education requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid Pennsylvania K-12 Special Education Certification
  • Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in a special education setting
  • Experience in emotional support, autism support, functional life skills, or highly individualized (1:1) instruction preferred
