Full Job Description
Special Education Teacher to support middle school students and help them develop skills that promote greater confidence and independence throughout the [redacted] school year in Gilbert, AZ.

Position Overview:
  • Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained middle school setting, focusing on functional academics, early literacy, communication, socialization, self-help, and vocational skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized instructional activities aligned with students' academic, functional, communication, and developmental needs.
  • Support students in applying learned skills through structured activities and participation with general education peers.
  • Collaborate with paraprofessional support staff and school personnel to promote student progress, independence, and successful classroom participation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
  • Valid Arizona Special Education teaching Certification in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Disabilities (K-12), as applicable
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Secondary-level and self-contained special education experience preferred
