ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be:
  • Technical Expert: Act as the primary technical point of contact for EV charging inquiries, ensuring customers choose the right Kempower hardware for their specific infrastructure.
  • Proposal Lead: Drive technical responses for RFIs and RFPs, providing detailed, solutions-based documentation that proves our technology's value.
  • Customer Education: Deeply understand our product line to educate customers on features, benefits, and installation best practices to maximize their uptime.
  • Field Liaison: Collaborate with local and global Sales, Engineering and Product Management teams to maintain up-to-date technical guides and share critical field feedback.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
  • Engineering Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years in electrical infrastructure or deployment.
  • Diagram Fluency: Proficient at interpreting electrical site plans and single-line diagrams (SLDs) to advise on charger placement and connection.
  • Code & Standards Expertise: Strong working knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, IEC) and EV-specific standards like CCS, NACS, and OCPP.
  • Technical Communication: The ability to translate complex charger specs into clear, customer-friendly solutions without losing technical accuracy.
  • Global Ready: A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Bonus Points For:
    • Direct experience in the EV, Automotive, or BESS/Microgrid industries.
    • Familiarity with emerging standards like MCS or power systems modeling.
