Full Job Description
The role

You will be the technical partner to Matter Labs' institutional sales team. Your work turns customer requirements into credible Prividium architectures and moves opportunities from discovery through evaluation into a deployment plan the customer trusts. The role owns technical discovery, solution design, evaluations and proofs of concept, and the technical response to security and due-diligence reviews. It is a hands-on presales role at the intersection of enterprise architecture, financial markets, and zero-knowledge infrastructure.

What you'll do
  • Lead technical discovery. Map customer architecture, data privacy, identity and permissions, interoperability, performance, resilience, custody, and compliance constraints.
  • Design solutions. Translate customer workflows into target architectures for Prividium, including integration boundaries, APIs, deployment models, and the route from pilot to production.
  • Deliver demos and workshops. Build and run tailored demonstrations and technical workshops for audiences from engineering teams to senior business leaders.
  • Run evaluations. Define success criteria, scope proofs of concept, coordinate internal specialists, and keep pilots tied to a commercial decision.
  • Own technical diligence. Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and architecture assessments, with support from Engineering, Security, Product, and Legal.
  • Prepare implementation. Produce solution documentation with explicit assumptions, dependencies, owners, and acceptance criteria, and hand over cleanly into delivery.
  • Feed the roadmap. Bring structured customer evidence into Product and Engineering, and separate repeatable market needs from one-off requests.

Over time, the reference architectures and playbooks you build become the foundation of the solutions-engineering function.

What we look for

Each of these is a demonstrated capability, shown through work you have done:
  • 7+ years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, enterprise architecture, or technical consulting in a customer-facing setting.
  • Working with banks, capital-markets firms, market infrastructure, payments businesses, or other regulated institutions.
  • Deep grounding in APIs, distributed systems, cloud and on-premise deployment, security, identity and access, and data privacy.
  • Leading complex technical evaluations or proofs of concept and converting them into production decisions.
  • Explaining complex systems to technical and non-technical audiences, with precise writing and disciplined expectation management.
  • Aligning sales, product, engineering, security, and customer teams without formal authority.

Nice to have

Working knowledge of Ethereum, smart contracts, tokenisation, or zero-knowledge proofs. Deep enterprise and financial-services experience can compensate for a lighter crypto background.

Work model & pay
  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based variable compensation and a long-term token incentive are additional. Both are paid in ZK tokens. New-hire token grants vest over four years with a one-year cliff.
  • Freedom & ownership culture: no time tracking, minimum bureaucracy-only results matter.
