About the RoleAs a Solutions Consultant, you will be quick to understand the client's business needs and identify data-driven solutions. Your primary objective is to ensure that customers to whom you are aligned are successful in the adoption, utilization, and retention of Definitive Healthcare's data assets to achieve their business goals. The ideal candidate will have deep customer relationship experience, possess solid technical and business intelligence skills, and demonstrate expertise in all things claims data. The ideal candidate will also bring experience engaging with Life Sciences stakeholders across biopharma or MedTech, paired with strong intellectual curiosity and a passion for translating complex data into clear, compelling stories grounded in accuracy and integrity.
What You'll Do - Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with external client stakeholders in the life sciences space while leveraging RWE/RWD expertise to gather detailed requirements for analytical projects and services.
- Statement of Work (SOW) Development: Translate customer requirements into well-structured and comprehensive Statements of Work, ensuring clarity, scope definition, deliverables, timelines, and cost estimation.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal knowledge centers to evangelize Definitive Healthcare solutions within customer systems and drive adoption of our products and services.
- Thought Leadership: Provides thought leadership both internally and externally relative the life sciences domain and the application of healthcare data to complex business problems, with a focus on crafting clear, compelling narratives from data.
- Escalations: Coordinate appropriate parties for escalation of client issues.
- Customer Satisfaction Tracking: Implement methods to gauge customer satisfaction, using feedback data to continuously enhance client experience and service delivery.
- Expansion Opportunities: Identify additional opportunities for value-added services or upselling during client interactions, aligning them with the client's strategic objectives.
- Retention: Partner with Customer Success and Account Management to drive retention of Definitive Healthcare's products and services.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle client conflicts or challenges with diplomacy, seeking mutually beneficial solutions and maintaining a positive working relationship.
- Market Insights: Keep clients informed about industry trends, best practices, and relevant product updates, tailoring insights into compelling, audience-appropriate narratives to position the organization as a trusted advisor.
- Data Qualification: Validate claims and procedure volumes to ensure the effort invested will produce worthwhile results for the customer.
- Project Management: Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and documentation of all processes, and follow-up with the client, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering analytically rigorous and clearly communicated outcomes.
What You'll Bring- Strong expertise working with SQL (Databricks preferred, SQL Server, Snowflake)
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in technical RWD/RWE Analytics roles, or similar healthcare-adjacent data experiences
- 2+ years in a client-facing role as a CSM, Account Executive, Consultant, or Solutions Engineer capacity.
- Expertise working with medical claim coding terminology (DRG, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS HCPCS/CPT, and NDC)
- Experience working with stakeholders in biopharma, pharmaceutical, or MedTech organizations, with an understanding of their commercial and clinical data needs.
- Strong understanding of the data needs required to bring a new drug, therapy, or medical device to market.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, with a proactive approach to exploring data, asking thoughtful questions, and uncovering meaningful insights.
- Strong data storytelling skills, including the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives that drive action while maintaining analytical rigor and integrity.
- Experience working with data visualization and explaining the "so what?" to clients.
- High level of organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to present technical topics to a business audience, both virtually and in-person.
- Strong ability to work cross functionally to get things done.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $106,000-$197,000 per year, which represents the base pay the company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role. Actual pay within this range will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
Depending on the position, employees may also be eligible to participate in a company bonus or commission plan.
