Solutions ArchitectSan Francisco • Go-to-Market
We're looking for an exceptional Solutions Architect to become the technical backbone of our go-to-market team. This is not a traditional GTM role. You'll work directly with the CEO and our founding sales team to win our most strategic accounts, shape how we bring the product to market, and build the repeatable processes that help us scale.
The right candidate combines deep data center domain expertise with the instincts of a great salesperson and the rigor of a great engineer. You are equally comfortable doing a live demo in front of a facilities team, architecting an integration with a customer's DCIM platform, or pressure-testing a deployment plan for a multi-GW colocation environment.
The RoleAs Omen's first Solutions Architect, you will own the technical dimension of every strategic deal. You'll partner closely with Sales to understand customer environments, design solutions that fit them precisely, and earn the trust of the engineers and facilities teams who ultimately decide whether to buy.
This role spans the full customer lifecycle - from first technical conversation through proof of concept, deployment planning, and post-sale expansion. You'll also serve as the primary conduit between our customers and our product team, helping to shape the product roadmap based on the most critical needs of data center operators.
This role is ideal for someone who has lived and breathed data center infrastructure - whether as a practitioner, a DCIM/monitoring vendor, or a critical environments consultant - and is ready to apply that expertise in a high-velocity startup environment.
Core ResponsibilitiesOwn the Technical Sales Motion- Lead all technical pre-sales activity: discovery, solution design, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements for enterprise data center accounts.
- Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, develop win strategies, and navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments spanning facilities, IT, and procurement.
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs as necessary, with technically rigorous, commercially compelling proposals.
Design Solutions That Actually Work- Architect deployment plans tailored to customer environments - accounting for power topology, cooling architecture, rack density, out-of-band connectivity, and change management constraints.
- Design and validate integration architectures between Omen's platform and customer DCIM systems (Nlyte, Sunbird, Vertiv, Schneider EcoStruxure, and others).
- Define data flows, alerting configurations, and API integration patterns that align with how each customer's operations team actually works.
Be the Trusted Technical Advisor- Build deep, credible relationships with facilities engineers, critical environments managers, and infrastructure architects at target accounts.
- Speak fluently across the buyer committee - translating uptime and PUE impact for facilities teams, integration architecture for IT, and TCO/ROI for procurement and finance.
- Position Omen as a thought leader in data center monitoring, not just a vendor.
Drive Post-Sale Success & Expansion- Stay engaged after the deal closes - supporting hardware deployment, onboarding, and initial platform configuration to ensure customers realize value quickly.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, surfacing expansion opportunities and flagging churn risk early.
- Build relationships that turn initial deployments into enterprise-wide programs, particularly with the technical buyers within our key accounts.
Shape the Product from the Field- Serve as the primary voice of the customer to Omen's product and engineering teams, translating field feedback into prioritized, well-structured requirements.
- Identify patterns across customer environments that reveal product gaps, integration opportunities, and new use cases.
- Help build the technical enablement materials - integration guides, deployment playbooks, demo environments - that will scale the SA function as the team grows.
Requirements- 8-10 years of experience in a technical role with meaningful exposure to data center infrastructure - as a practitioner, a vendor selling into data centers, or a critical environments consultant.
- Deep familiarity with data center operations: power (PDU, UPS, kW/rack, PUE), cooling (CRAC/CRAH, hot/cold aisle containment, liquid cooling), and environmental monitoring.
- Experience with DCIM platforms (Nlyte, Sunbird, Vertiv, Schneider EcoStruxure, or similar) - either as a user, an implementer, or an integration partner.
- Comfort with hardware deployment in live data center environments, including change management processes and maintenance window protocols.
- Strong command of integration patterns: REST APIs, SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, webhooks, and similar protocols common in OT/IT convergence environments.
- Proven ability to earn the trust of highly technical buyers - facilities engineers, infrastructure architects, and critical environments teams - who are skeptical of sales-forward approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt your register from hands-on technician to VP of Infrastructure to procurement lead in the same account.
- High agency and comfort operating with limited structure in a fast-moving startup environment.
What Success Looks LikeWithin your first year, you will:
- Win Omen's first cohort of marquee data center accounts and establish our technical reputation in the market.
- Build a repeatable pre-sales playbook - discovery framework, demo environment, PoC structure, integration architecture templates - that scales as the SA team grows.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with the technical buyers at our top accounts.
- Deliver a clear, prioritized product feedback loop that meaningfully shapes Omen's roadmap.
- Become the internal expert on data center customer environments, helping the broader team sell and serve this vertical more effectively.
Benefits- 100% medical, dental & vision coverage (for you)
- Flexible PTO
- WFH setup stipend
- Relocation support to San Francisco
- Free food & snacks
- Daily in-office lunch provided
Don't meet every bullet but excited about what we're building? Apply anyway. The data center domain is hard to fake, but we care more about judgment and drive than a perfect resume
