Primary challenges include validating complex video distribution platforms and custom streaming experiences across diverse commercial verticals such as Hospitality, Healthcare, MDUs, and public venues. The position addresses potential risks in data integrity, billing pipelines, and network connectivity while maintaining seamless cross-platform functionality. Furthermore, the role leverages modern AI tools to streamline test planning, accelerate defect analysis, and optimize overall quality engineering processes.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Validate Live Linear, On-Demand, and specialized interactive features across commercial Android apps, mobile platforms, and specialized hardware deployed in high-impact environments
  • Utilize developer toolsets such as Android Studio, ADB commands, and Charles Proxy to capture Logcat traces, inspect API payloads, and simulate real-world network constraints
  • Leverage cutting-edge AI tools to rapidly accelerate test case authoring, synthesize realistic test data, and perform root-cause defect analysis
  • Conduct rigorous data integrity and system-level validation across core backend microservices, complex billing pipelines, and enterprise software suites
  • Proactively log, categorize, prioritize, and track defects within JIRA while partnering with automation engineers to execute automated suites and cultivate scripting skills over time

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):
  • Hands-on functional testing expertise and a strong track record of designing end-to-end test plans for native mobile applications (Android/iOS) or embedded video applications
  • Critical experience inspecting backend network calls and testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Charles Proxy, SOAP UI, or Swagger
  • AI Application skills to enhance daily productivity, expand test coverage, and streamline defect analysis workflows
  • Proficiency with JIRA and defect tracking tools within fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong problem-solving, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities to drive quality standards across deployment teams

Additional Qualifications:
  • Understanding of B2B deployment environments across Hospitality, Senior Living, MDUs, or Commercial/Public Venue setups
  • Familiarity with commercial property network topologies, IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, DHCP, Wi-Fi routing), and Coax/RF distribution
  • Exposure to test automation concepts (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Python/Java) and Android Studio environments

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years relevant work experience (e.g. QA/Testing experience, Linux administration, test automation)
