Job Duties:- Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes.
- Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impact, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.
- Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.
- Collaborate with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
- Some telecommuting permitted.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Data Theory, Mathematics, or related field
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
- Computational algorithms including optimization and numerical methods to solve complex mathematical problems in building and maintaining computation software tools, optimizing algorithms and model
- Programming in Python, C++, and MATLAB to design, implement, test and deploy production-grade software and components, including translating models and algorithms into robust systems
- AI and Machine Learning to build accurate predictive models
- Software engineering fundamentals, including data structures and object-oriented programming
- Statistical modeling and applied mathematics, including probability, linear algebra, regression, and inference
- Data analysis using R and model testing and feature engineering
The annual salary range for California is $101,500 to $188,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
