About the Team

The Experience Library team is part of the Digital Marketing Technology organization at Salesforce. We build and own a content authoring and rendering platform that powers marketing pages across salesforce.com. Our platform enables marketing teams to create high-quality, localized, and performant web experiences at scale, powering some of the highest-traffic pages in the Salesforce digital ecosystem.

We work across the full stack, with a strong frontend focus; building modular blade component libraries, WordPress integrations, and a robust rendering layer that serves global audiences. We embrace a "you build it, you own it" culture, where engineers are responsible for the quality, performance, and reliability of what they ship, from design to deployment and beyond.

Our team is at an exciting inflection point: actively integrating AI into our engineering workflows, running an accelerated initiatives, and expanding internationalization support to new global markets.



The Experience

We are looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) to join the Experience Library team as a senior frontend-focused full-stack engineer. In this role, you will be a key technical contributor and domain expert on the Page Builder platform; designing and building high-quality, scalable frontend components, collaborating closely with Product and UX, and helping elevate the engineering practices of the team.


You will take strong ownership of your features, contribute to architectural decisions, and serve as a mentor and technical coach for more junior engineers. You will also help shape how we integrate AI tools into our daily development workflows.



What You'll Actually Be Doing
  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality, production-grade frontend and full-stack features for the Page Builder platform, leveraging modern web technologies including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for one or more domains within the Page Builder platform; including the blade components library, CMS integration, or rendering pipelines.
  • Build and ship modular, reusable, and accessible UI components that power salesforce.com marketing pages at scale.
  • Take ownership of features from design through execution; writing design specs, defining test strategies, and delivering code that meets quality, performance, and observability standards.
  • Actively integrate AI tools (e.g., Agentforce, Slackbot, Cursor, Claude, Codex) into your engineering workflow to accelerate development and help up-level the team's use of AI.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Principal Engineers, Architects and cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements and deliver exceptional digital experiences.
  • Mentor AMTS and MTS team members through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Contribute to code reviews, proactively monitor features in production, and champion engineering best practices and quality standards.
  • Help manage delivery complexity: slice stories and epics, define tasks, and expose dependencies and risks during sprint planning.
  • Present designs to internal groups and contribute to internal retrospectives, playbooks, and documentation.


You're Our Person If...
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on frontend and full-stack web development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred; Vue, Angular, or Ember also considered).
  • Solid experience with HTML5, CSS3, and CSS frameworks such as Sass or Tailwind.
  • Experience with Node.js and building backend services that support frontend experiences (BFF pattern a plus).
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems, particularly WordPress and/or Contentful, and understanding of how CMS-driven content flows into frontend rendering pipelines.
  • Proven experience building scalable, performant web applications on public cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred; GCP or Azure also considered).
  • Experience consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, with a solid understanding of API design and security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of web performance fundamentals such as Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, caching strategies, and CDN behavior.
  • Experience with frontend testing methodologies and frameworks (Jest, Cucumber, Selenium, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead and deliver features of medium-to-high complexity, from design through production.
  • Experience mentoring engineers, providing technical coaching and constructive code review feedback.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document features and present designs to peers and stakeholders.
  • A related technical degree required.


Even Better If...
  • A demonstrated, AI-first approach to engineering actively using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex etc.) to move faster and help the team do the same.
  • Experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n); building experiences that scale across multiple languages and regions.
  • Experience working within or contributing to a design system or component library.
  • Familiarity with WordPress as a CMS platform, including theme development or Page/REST API consumption.
  • Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, npm, or Yarn.
  • Experience with CDN configuration (e.g., Akamai) and understanding of how CDNs impact web performance.
  • Experience with analytics instrumentation and tag management (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe, Tealium).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience as an active sprint contributor and planning partner.
  • Experience building with accessibility standards (WCAG) in mind.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent experience.
