Software Engineering Manager - New York (Hybrid) - Competitive Salary + Competitive Package + Opportunity to with a Series C Fintech Unicorn!

This well-established FinTech are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to come in a lead a team of roughly 8 software engineers.

About the Software Engineering Manager Vacancy:

They want someone to lead their team of engineers who sit in the Data Partner Integrations team.

The company partner with many data vendors and therefore to help scale this out, they are building a new integration platform, which will make it easy to build, operate and maintain data integrations.

This position reports into the Head of Engineering.

You will lead the development of enterprise-grade 3rd party data and product integrations which support client use cases and lead the third-party

marketplace efforts.

You will own the technical and strategic vision for data and product partner infrastructure.

Your work will involve continuously improving integration architecture and monitoring at scale.

You will juggle three key responsibilities: recruiting and hiring great people, developing and mentoring each person that reports to them, and assisting the team in building and shipping the best product.

As the Engineering Manager, you will:
• Find, select, train, and guide team members while conducting weekly one-on-one meetings and assisting with their professional growth.
• Develop, monitor, and oversee engineering team KPIs and measurements in accordance with Accelerate's "Four Key measurements."
• Collaborate closely with key teams throughout the organization, partnerships, and internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolve obstacles, keep the development machine running smoothly, and inform the appropriate parties of technical and product decisions.
• To uphold high-quality integration standards, establish and oversee governance for release, deployment, monitoring, and testing.
• Lead the technical and strategic vision for data integration infrastructure
• Encourage team satisfaction and output

Ideal Requirements for the Software Engineering Manager Vacancy:
• 8+ years in engineering with at least 3 years in an engineering leadership position.
• A history of accomplishments that show a dedication to client impact and product excellence.
• Experience integrating APIs, SDKs, and digital markets with data product suppliers.
• Gain insight and input from both internal and external stakeholders as you scale the infrastructure and process.
• Technical leadership:

Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Node.

The capacity to oversee in-depth code evaluations and assist engineers in finding flaws.

Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and familiarity with application architectures that are highly available and scalable.
• Experience managing goal-based project monitoring and execution, including sprint planning.
• The capacity to oversee several projects, deadlines, and priorities.
• Outstanding communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
• Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding experience.
• Must be local to New York City and attend the office 3-4 days per week.

Nice to have:
• Experience in high-growth product companies or startups.
• Experience building or scaling data marketplaces.
