Position Description

The Remote Software Engineer will build enterprise-grade web applications, design automated microservices, and manage multi-step financial validation engines built on Python and Django. This position will require a DoW Secret Clearance, and only those who possess a DoW Clearance will be considered.

Certifications Required: Security+ Continuing Education (CE) [CompTIA]

Responsibilities include:

• Web & API Development: Design, build, and maintain containerized microservices and backend web applications using Python and Django REST Framework.
• Workflow & Business Logic: Develop dynamic workflow engines and state machines to manage complex approval processes, billing calculations, and financial validation logic.
• Database Management: Model, optimize, and maintain relational database schemas to ensure data integrity and auditability.
• Asynchronous Tasks & Integrations: Implement background task processing and scheduling for dynamic data ingestion and third-party API integrations.
• Security & Access Control: Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and integrate secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• DevOps & Automation: Maintain development environment parity using containerization and support automated building, testing, and deployment pipelines through CI/CD processes.
• Cross-Application Support: Assist with the support and maintenance of complementary software applications across different technology stacks as needed.
