Job SummaryAs a Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining cloud-based solutions. You will focus on solving complex problems, developing, testing, automating and collaborating with the Software Engineering team to deploy features in a production environment.
Additionally, you will be responsible for designing and implementing managed Cloud Services based on given requirements. We expect you to have excellent coding skills and take a lead role in designing ,implementing managed Cloud Services and supporting production deployments.
Short Description- Engage in incident management processes including the 24X7 Oncall rotations (as per the sun model) to resolve production issues within agreed SLAs/SLOs.
- Lead to deliver features, including participating in the full software development lifecycle.
- Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems, including authoring project specifications.
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and measure system health, availability, and latency
- Develop and implement steps to improve system and application performance, availability, and reliability.
- Work on development, bug fixes/updates, spec updates, customer RCAs and automation.
- Hands on troubleshooting of production outages.
- Focus on continuous improvement of production operations and avoiding fires proactively.
Job Requirements- 5+ years of experience is required.
- 24X7 Oncall rotations (as per the sun model) every 2 weeks
- This role will have non-traditional work days and hours including weekends.
- Proficient with any of the languages C++ or Golang.
- Experience with Python, Java/C-sharp is added advantage.
- Scripting and infrastructure automation using, for example, Ansible, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
- Thorough understanding of Linux or other Unix-like Operating Systems.
- Strong in Data Structure and algorithms and Expertise in REST API design and implementation.
- Prior experience with Filesystem development and Distributed system design is desirable.
- Deep working Knowledge of Containers, Kubernetes, and Serverless computing implementation.
- Understanding of SDLC lifecycle, distributed systems and DevOps development methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
- Strong familiarity with Google Cloud is preferred, or other Hyperscalers, AWS, Azure.
Education- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 147,900 - 220,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
