Koch Ag & Energy Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate high-quality software solutions that deliver business value. In this role, you will work as part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems using modern development practices.

You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle-from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing support-while partnering closely with product, architecture, and business stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to software development efforts across the full project lifecycle.
  • Partner with the Tower Technical Lead and BSAs to prioritize backlog items from a technical perspective.
  • Support and maintain existing applications by troubleshooting and resolving production issues
  • Design APIs, services, and data integrations that are scalable, secure, and performant
  • Identify transformation opportunities that leverage AI, automation, and cloud-native platforms to deliver business value
  • Continuously learn and apply new technologies, patterns, and practices


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Demonstrated professional experience in software engineering, software development, or a related technical field
  • Experience with Python programming language
  • Legally Authorized to work in the United States
  • Experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications using AWS serverless services (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in Market Data, Commodity/Financial Trading, or related industries.
  • Experience developing generative AI or agentic services using the AWS AgentCore runtime.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and other modern development tools.
  • Experience using generative AI tools such as Copilot or Claude Code in software development and solution delivery.
