Job Summary:
The Productivity Solutions Team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative solutions that drive business efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The Software Engineer - IV will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a custom SharePoint Framework (SPFx) application used by the district. The role requires strong front-end development expertise, including React, JavaScript, TypeScript, React Router, modern CSS, component design, accessibility best practices, API integration, CI/CD practices, and Python, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and support the custom SharePoint Framework (SPFx) application used by the district.
• Develop and maintain reusable, scalable, and maintainable React components.
• Build and enhance front-end functionality using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Implement and maintain application routing using React Router.
• Integrate and consume APIs to support application functionality.
• Apply component design principles and modern CSS practices to deliver effective user experiences.
• Consume and work within established design systems to maintain consistency across applications.
• Apply accessibility best practices throughout application development and maintenance.
• Work with SharePoint and SharePoint Lists to support application functionality.
• Follow CI/CD practices for application development, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues with strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate technical concepts and requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with platform features, development practices, and evolving technical standards.
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with React.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with React Router.
• Experience working with and consuming APIs.
• Experience consuming and working with established design systems.
• Strong component design skills.
• Proficiency with modern CSS.
• Strong understanding of accessibility best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD practices.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Basic understanding of SharePoint and SharePoint Lists.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, including the ability to troubleshoot production issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience maintaining and supporting SharePoint Framework (SPFx) applications.
• Experience working in a Productivity Solutions or business efficiency-focused technology environment.
