Our codebase is written entirely in Swift with modern design patterns and coding standards. We rely on 3rd party libraries and contribute back to the community (including the Swift language itself).
Responsibilities- Help establish roadmap and architecture based on technology and our needs
- Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
- Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices
- Performing thoughtful code reviews for colleagues, and help others by conducting high-quality code reviews
- Participate in hiring activities: take part in technical interviews, live coding, share detailed feedback to hiring best technical talent in the function
- Support junior members on the team through mentorship as well as code and technical reviews.
Experience:- Delivering high-quality code
- Working closely with designers and product managers
- Solid Swift knowledge
- Bonus Points: contributions to open source projects, experience with declarative UI frameworks like SwiftUI, experience with unidirectional and reactive programming
- 4+ years of software engineering industry experience
- Experience with object-oriented programming
- Write clear, scalable and clear design documentation
- Design, build and improve a set of team owned components

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $108,000 - CAD $135,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
