Job Summary
The Software Engineer - Full Stack will build and support applications using Java and Python across on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The role will contribute to full-stack solutions involving frontend development, backend services, database access, REST APIs, messaging, and AWS cloud services. The engineer will work with development teams to follow application lifecycle methodologies, apply secure coding practices, support architecture and DevOps standards, create design documentation, perform testing, and troubleshoot complex technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java and Python
• Build frontend, backend, database, REST API, messaging, and cloud-based application components
• Develop and maintain applications deployed across on-premises and AWS cloud infrastructure
• Apply application lifecycle management practices and approved development methodologies
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical and design documentation
• Perform coding, unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing
• Apply secure coding standards and practices throughout the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with product and development teams as a technical partner
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
• Apply architecture patterns, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies to application development
• Support database access and SQL-based application functionality
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and messaging components
Required Qualifications
• Hands-on coding experience with Core Java
• Hands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, or comparable components
• Hands-on experience with UI development using Angular
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
• Hands-on experience with Python programming
• Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and functional testing
• Knowledge of building and consuming REST APIs
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud technologies
• Understanding of application lifecycle management, security, architecture patterns, and DevOps practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 1-5 years of professional experience or recent college graduate with relevant hands-on development experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience developing applications across on-premises and cloud environments
• Familiarity with messaging technologies and distributed application architectures
• Experience creating technical design documentation
• Familiarity with secure software development and DevOps practices
