Position OverviewAs a Software Engineer Expert within PNC's C&IB Payments organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX.
Role Overview:
The Software Engineer Expert will lead a team within the C&IB Payments Technology organization, overseeing the design, development, and delivery of Java-based applications supporting enterprise payment platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop a team of software engineers, including performance management and career development
• Lead Agile delivery processes and ensure alignment with organizational standards
• Oversee full software development lifecycle execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives
• Ensure adherence to architecture standards, security practices, and compliance requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and delivery outcomes
Required Qualifications:
• Extensive experience leading software engineering teams
• Strong technical background in Java development and distributed systems
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• This position is primarily location-based and requires regular in-office presence.
