What skills do I need?- 2-5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building production web applications.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript is required.
- Familiarity with API design and integration (RESTful services).
- Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging practices.
- Works well both as an individual and as part of a team.
Nice to Have:- Familiarity with React, React Native/Expo (mobile) and/or Electron (desktop) app development.
- Experience with MacOS and Windows platform development.
- Experience with hardware/device integrations.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes/container orchestration and microservices deployment.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or equivalent) to land production PRs.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, build, and maintain features across Edge's product surfaces, such as the Tulip Player application, device drivers, and cloud microservices.
- Partner with product, design, and QA to scope and ship features end-to-end, from prototype to production.
- Debug and resolve customer-facing issues surfaced in real manufacturing environments.
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code, and participate in code review to raise the bar for the team.
- Contribute to technical and architecture decisions that affect the reliability and scalability of the platform.
- Take part in the team's on-call/support rotation, triaging and resolving incoming technical requests.
- Collaborate with Edge's embedded engineers on integrations touching drivers and devices.
- Help evolve deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure practices, including microservices and container tooling.

The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire pay rates for the position across all US locations. Within the range posted, actual compensation will be determined depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge & skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, market compensation data, and internal equity. Expected compensation ranges for this role may change over time. The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000 per year.
