Full Job Description
We offer a hybrid work schedule (one week in the office, one week of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility. Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position. This position does not offer relocation assistance. **Job Summary** Under general supervision, build medium complexity applications ensuring that the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards. Work closely with other software engineers and team members to understand the system end-to-end and perform system analysis. Analyze, design, configure and develop the business logic and backend systems. Complete the work needed to implement features from the product backlog. Work closely with Product/Business Owner to understand stories and requirements from both Business and Technical perspective. Size/estimate user stories/requirements. Perform unit testing and execute all testing related activities including the automation of test cases where applicable. Create necessary project and product artifacts including support documentation. Work closely with other team members to ensure features meet business needs. Utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot) to support software development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting while ensuring solutions meet quality, security, and compliance requirements. Work collaboratively with infrastructure, security and other partners. Collaborate with Portfolio Architects to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards. Communicate with Product/Business Owner, Engineering Lead, UI/UX Designer or Scrum Master/Project Manager to ensure stories/tasks are delivered on schedule. Perform ongoing product maintenance and resolve issues (e.g. break/fix) as support requests arise. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
