What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Analyze, design, and implement complex software applications, using expertise in Java, and expertise in building scalable, distributed systems. Design and develop innovative software products and solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, availability, scalability, and reliability, using experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark as well as Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, Shell Scripts and related open source tools for the automation and management of containerized applications. Deliver highly performing, low-latency, robust code with high test coverage, continuous integration, and production monitoring. Research and implement indexing techniques for better search engine performance. Rollout system changes with implications for multi-functional teams Monitor and maintain the batch and real-time indexer pipelines. Lead engineering design and code reviews, and triage and debug production issues. Mentor junior team members and ensure they adhere to the determined software quality standards. Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
What you will bring:Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
- Experience implementing advanced indexing techniques and improving search engine performance using platforms such as Elasticsearch (2 years)
- Experience in designing and developing microservices using REST/GraphQL APIs with Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js (2 years)
- Experience in Big Data processing and scalable, distributed systems such as Kafka, Memcache(2 years)
- Object Oriented Programming Languages such as Java or Python (2 years)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (2 years)
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (JUnit, Mockito), and production monitoring using Splunk or Grafana (2 years)
- Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms (2 years)
Salary: $169,576.00-229,600.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional DetailsBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
